We're just about over with the fantasy football. That's it, man. It's just about over. One more game tomorrow 19. You know, guys in their championship week, championship game, you know, I mean, some of the public leagues, the way they do it, it's like a two week playoff, and this was only the first part of the championship round, but for the most part, this was it.

And we're gonna talk about some of the studs and some of the things that happened. I know we talked a little bit earlier on the phone, man, and, you know, rest in peace your phone. But I'm glad that we were able to talk and,

King: you know, let, let's just get into the weekend, man, and the, and the football that happened, man.

I mean, there was some crazy stuff happening. I know you were telling me like, wow, what a crazy week. Right?

Sweet T: well, yeah, I mean, I thought it was a pretty crazy intense week, and I know that you and I kind of went back and forth about this, about how the fact that every week is so crazy, but it only, it only seems like it's getting crazier and crazier as we get towards the end of the year. It just ratchets itself up.

I don't know about you, but it just seems like that to.

King: Well, I was, I was looking at the schedule, man, and, and reality is there was only a couple games that were sort of like upset. , everything else sort of happened the way it was. It just the way that it went down, right? I mean,

Sweet T: you're right.

King: you know what I mean? That's really, you know, I guess the outcome was, the outcome was expected, but the way that it happened really wasn't the way that everyone thought. You know? I mean, going down the list, right? I mean, obviously, you know, everyone, we sort of knew Detroit was gonna beat up on Chicago. Chicago seemed to only play a. You know, Justin Fields's got his a hundred plus yards rushing again, only 60, 70 yards away from the record for next week. You know, he's set up for that. I, I mean, but, and we knew Goff would have a good game. The ground game was huge. There again, you know, so, I mean, I mean, anything on that game from ut.

Sweet T: Uh, well, yeah, I mean, golf went off. Uh, we talked about it last week as well, and we just kind of expected him to go off. But I mean, the fact that Jamal Williams kind of had a big day, right? I mean, he had 144 yards rushing in a tudy. I mean, that's big. That's a big week 17. And these guys are making a big

King: been doing that all year though, and,

Sweet T: but he ha

King: that's his career high in yards. But I mean, dude, he's been busting a hundred yards all year, so he's been doing great. Cause Deandre Swift hasn't been around for shit. And Deandre Swift got a couple touchdowns today.

Sweet T: Deandre Swift went off today too. You know? I mean, he only has 78

King: in a PPR mode, you know, kind of thing.

King: I mean, but look at the draft. I mean, when you drafted those guys who drafted Jamal Williams at all high, think it was a 10th round plus probably.

Sweet T: Right.

King: You know what I mean? And he was the number one back there still is, you know, going into the next week.

Then you had the Saints and the Eagles, and really, is it that crazy to think the Eagles had win with Gardner Min Shoe in his second week? Now when teams can really see what he can do and they could lock it down and the Saints have a decent d AJ Brown had a big spurt, but other than that, no one did. Right. I mean, really?

Sweet T: Yeah.

King: Yes. That was a dog shit game. But Panthers and Bucks, sure the Panthers jumped out big, but they jumped out big on a lot of people and then they just shit the be on themselves. Right. Donald Fumbled. But I know you wanna talk about it a little bit about your boy TV 12 Man. Go for it.

Sweet T: What? It's just nice to see him actually show up. You know, I mean, think about it, him and Evans J, they just teamed up finally. This is the first time that we've seen them really kind of do what we expected them to do all season for the first time. And just think about this, how magical these guys are when they're on the same page and they're clicking.

That's insane. I mean, I mean, TB 12 today, over 400 yards. Passing three tudies.

King: Mike Evans, 200 yards receiving plus, and that puts him like he's, it's his ninth consecutive year of a thousand yards. First player in N F NFL history to do that. So he, but

King: yeah, well, of course, who else is throwing him the ball? But I mean is, but he needed a 200 yard game to break his thousand. That's how bad of a year he's been having thinking

Sweet T: and think about it, the fantasy owners for Evans have been struggling all year with him.

King: Yeah. You know, moving on like the Broncos, playing the Chiefs. We knew Mahomes was gonna do Mahomes stuff. Spread the ball around. The guy over there, though, that's surprising me, is McKennon dude. He's got a teddy in the last five games, at least one in the last five games, so he's fucking tearing it up out there.

Sweet T: yeah, he's a good goal line guy. He gets all those little goal line looks to get those tidies, which is. You know, he's definitely from a fantasy standpoint, he's definitely touched on dependent though for points.

King: You know, but I think, um, I, I think this is one of those games where you were saying it was a little bit crazy because Kansas City had to come back a couple times.

Sweet T: So

King: Wilson showed up, right? I mean, the new coach

King: had running place, Russell Wilson.

Sweet T: Exactly. That's what I'm telling you. Hackett was not the guy there, he was the problem. Everybody blamed Wilson. Now I'm not putting, I'm not saying that Wilson wasn't to blame for any of it, but I'm just saying you don't see that that big of a drop off in a guy from year to year at, and he's still in his, you know, I wouldn't say Prime, but he is not, he's not in the complete decline.

I mean, he's still got a lot in the tank,

King: Well, we'll see, we'll see going into the next year with that. And that's something to look at. But I mean, there was an Albert o siding and that's the thing. It's just gonna be so hard figuring out a guy in Denver. Are you gonna want to draft a running back there because they're so shitty. You know what I mean?

It's just crap, you know? So, but I mean, you know, indie playing the Giants, Saquon doing Saquon stuff, Danny Dimes running around. I heard both those guys are getting, look, uh, they're working on long-term contracts for both those guys. What do you think about that comment? T I heard of that today after the game.

Sweet T: See, I didn't hear that one. Um, the, the, the saquon thing. Yeah, I ma it makes perfect sense. The Donnie Dimes, I'm not so sure because this guy wasn't that good before. , their new coach and Dayl has been the XFactor and they, DAYL was the XFactor for Josh Allen as well. So, but Josh Allen has more talent and we know that.

So I don't know if you want to extend this guy. I think there's gonna be a lot of options. There's gonna be a crazy off season, so I think they're gonna have a lot of options, uh, to be able to get a

King: I mean, the reality is right, the options they're gonna get are truly backup or journeymen guys. The only guy that's gonna be out there potentially that's gonna be a game changer is Lamar. Other than that, it's a rookie or it's a, it's, you know, somebody else who's already had a shot and is, you know, trying to resurrect their career.

Sweet T: I think Derek Carr's gonna be a good

King: Derek Carr, a Baker Mayfield, you know, something like that who might not work out either, you know? So, I

He just made the playoffs. , he's not turning the ball over like he was crazy the last couple years and being all stupid.

He's definitely helping and if Debos saying, look dude, if we can get this guy cheaper, we can build the team around him and that position isn't gonna hurt us cuz we don't need that to really win if we got Saquon. So, I mean, I think they can sign them. They're not gonna sign them for crazy ass big money, I don't think. it, it's gonna be big money. Let's understand it. It's, it's big money, but he's not gonna get Patrick Mahomes money or Lamar Jackson money when he signs, or 50 million or that kinda shit he's gonna get in the thirties, you know, maybe underneath the 40.

But think about that, for the next five years, that's not gonna be shit. They're gonna get 'em on the cheap.

King: And to be able to build the other, the rest of the team around him, I, I think it's gonna be good. So, I mean, I don't know man, but you know, Jacksonville played dog shit. Houston, Jacksonville just basically ran the ball at the end.

Nine carries out buck something a 70 rtd their defense got a touchdown. So really nothing to talk about there it is what it was, Cardinals and Atlanta. Another shit fest. You know, the only thing I gotta say there is I did tell my boy to pick up Cordell Patterson and he got him like 24 points in ppr, so it was good. I mean, Cleveland, Washington, that's one of the other upsets. If it was really an upset, Washington stinks. They're on the bubble to make it into the worst fucking division playoffs. Fucking NFC stinks. They were eliminated today.

Sweet T: was, uh, putting once in there, really all that much of a difference. It, it wasn't

King: No, but it's like I told you, you know in the beginning when they first put Hynek in, you're like, give him a shot. They already have. He's had a. He can't do it. And again, this year he failed again. He's a backup. He's coming in to fucking relieve it. You know, one or two games. That's all he is. Got in him, Doug, you know.

But Dolphins and Patriots, you know, again, the dolphins are our mess at the quarterback position, Teddy B fucking fucked up his finger. He was out the rest of the game. They had to bring in Skylar Campbell from Kansas State Rookie. who that kid was just fucking deer in the headlights. So yeah, they didn't have a chance and they're only lost by two points, and they had a chance at the end of the game.

Josh Jacobs got hurt early in the game, but came back, only had like 60 yards rushing, but another touchdown. But they basically took him to over. and then the kid fucking threw a pick, stood him not, he's not a kid, but steer him, threw a pick cuz he got fucking pushed back on and couldn't follow through the the pass.

And that was it. They kicked the field goal. Robby Gold missed an easy one. There shouldn't have been

King: You know, I think the biggest surprise to me, I thought of the day was just how the Packers man handled the Vikings,

King: Well, there's been a lot of bulletin board shit. Dude is, is that Jare Alexander is saying fucking what happened to him when the first game was a fluke. Remember when fucking homeboy went off in the first or second? When Justin Jefferson went off and they shut his ass down, dude, one catch 15 yards, that's all that motherfucker had.

Sweet T: And he was super frustrated. He even hit an official in the back but got away with it. Like the official didn't pay attention during a play. After, um, It was a pick, and Jefferson was, was running in, uh, his route and he was in the area and he got mad, took off his helmet and was gonna slam it, and then ran into an official, he got, he got lucky on that one that he didn't get, uh, any kind of penalty.

King: You know, Pittsburgh stayed alive in the nightcap. You know they're still alive, dude. And fuck everybody sold them in when they started picket. When they benched bench, please.

Sweet T: Yeah, I mean, you know, I, I just, I don't know, it's just Nae had a big game, you know, 111 yards. Yeah, that's great. But, you know, it just, I don't know that, it's just so painful to watch these guys, uh, They're just not pretty. They, they don't do anything extremely well, but they're always, they're in the hunt.

They're eight and eight, you know, they're, they're getting it done. But from a fantasy standpoint, the only one that's relevant this week is na. There's really nobody kind of going off for them at all.

King: you know, and you gotta see what kind of step is made next year and, and there's gonna be one of those steps made by. you know what I mean? Where it's like, fuck what that, you know, whether it be, you know, I mean, I don't know. Even though thinking about it, like going into next year's draft, cause obviously it's the end of the year and everything's done, but where do you think Justin Fields is gonna be in the n f and the fantasy drafts next year?

Sweet T: Oh, that's gonna be a tough one. I think he's gonna be a lot higher than most people anticipate. I mean, hell in many leagues, he was, what a backup. He was being drafted as a backup. Really late. I think this guy's probably gonna go, it's tough. Um, . Yeah. Well, if, if guys are picking based off of what other people are telling them to pick and everything, he's gonna be rated pretty high amongst the quarterbacks.

Uh, I think right now, p r wise, he's, uh, like number five in p r points. So quite honestly, I think he's gonna go pretty high. He's gonna be one of those top dudes. But I would say he would probably go in the, in the top. Out of quarterbacks for sure.

King: I, I mean, you, you would think so just because of the down years that there are out there, and I don't really think people really want to draft Jared Goff as a starter, and I don't know why, but I mean, I should have drafted that dude instead of Matt Stafford this year. But I mean, Trevor Lawrence is gonna make an ascension next year, right?

I mean, he's gonna be up there. He's probably gonna be one of the top 12 guys. He'll be a starter on the fantasy team. I believe that,

Sweet T: Oh yeah, for sure.

King: someone's still gonna jump on the, as long as he's healthy, someone will jump on the, you know, definitely the Trey Lance hype train again. You know what I mean?

He had a second surgery, Trey Lance did just last weekend or something. But they said it was just a cleanup and everything. It was sort of, they knew it was gonna happen just cuz the type of injury he. when it started healing, they wanted to get rid of some of the scar tissue to allow it to heal better. So it was sort of a normal thing, but they said he should be ready for training camp

Sweet T: I mean, right now

King: I keep hearing OTAs or something.

Sweet T: OTAs, I mean, guys like Justin Herbert are gonna go high, but they, he mean, you and I were talking about this earlier today. He's had a down.

King: Yeah, but it's just, it's based on what he was and what he can do. And you know, his receivers were banged up all year, G, and I mean, I just still think he's still got a little bit of a pass. Plus he's the great white. Hope so. Yeah, they're gonna give him the pass.

Sweet T: No, they're still gonna give him up. I mean, they're making, they made excuses for him in college about the, you know, saying is the coaches, it's this, it's that. And they're making excuses for him in the pros too, you know, he makes big plays. , but at the same time, he, he just doesn't make things happen. He's just, I don't know what it is about him, but he's that flash big play type of guy, so I, I think that's why people give him a pass.

But I definitely think guys like Kyler Murray take a big step back when it comes to the draft. I think a lot of

King: What about Tom Brady?

Sweet T: Tua I, well, I'm gonna say Tuas gonna take a big step backwards. I think

King: Time out. I don't, I'm gonna say this, bro. I don't think Tua was drafted as a starter this year.

King: lot of guys drafted him as a backup.

Sweet T: Correct. But if he would've, if he didn't have the injury issue with his head, I think he would've went really high. So to me, it's like taking a step back or it's gonna be an ascension if he's still around. Right. Because we don't know if he's gonna retire or not because of these concussions, or if he's gonna be playing, but he's not gonna go as high as he probably should have, I should say.

King: I'm okay. I don't recall hearing that the dolphins. Re-upped him. So if that's the case, he's coming up on the end of his rookie deal here. Right. I don't think the dolphins have ever re-upped him.

Sweet T: Yeah. . So, and to your point though, earlier, what the, what you were saying with Tom Brady, Tom Brady's gonna take a step back when it comes to the draft. Uh, every year he's at least in the top 12, you know, but after that, I, personally, I really think that he's gonna go down. I don't think that he's gonna make up, uh, any part of that top 12.

He's had a really down year. And maybe that's actually a good thing because for guys who are kind of savvy in the draft, they may be able to pick him up pretty. and use those that pick of, you know, whatever slot round that they're gonna pick up. A big quarterback, maybe they pick up a guy like Brady and he has a bounce back here, depending on where he goes.

Cuz there's a lot of people that don't think that he's gonna stay in Tampa. So I really think that, you know, it's not necessarily a bad thing that Tom Brady's taking that slide, you know? Um, it's just one of those situations for him where he. He wasn't focused because of the whole divorce situation, but I think guys can be able to really come up and, and get a decent quarterback for, uh, you know, much later in the draft by getting him

King: Well, and I think there would probably be, you know, I mean you got, let's see, I mean, just count 'em off, dude. You got Mahomes, Josh Allen, of course Joe Burrow. Uh, Lamar will go for sure

King: see? And then remember at the beginning of this draft, however everyone was saying, and it was, it seemed like the quarterbacks were so, it was so deep. It didn't matter when you got a quarterback.

King: I mean, I felt that way and I got Kyler Murray and Matt Stafford in one league, both of 'em together, and I felt so good. I got him so late, both of them, and I was like, fuck, I'm, I'm cool at quarterback. Even if one of 'em starts fucking up, the other one will be okay. Right? I

Sweet T: I mean, Russell Wilson's not gonna be drafted in the top 12, that's for sure.

King: Yeah, I forgot about that bug. Derek car. and then we talked about maybe Trey Lance. Right. Just cuz people are enamored with that. And I get it, you know, especially the way he looked in the beginning. They're gonna, he's gonna be the, the leading rusher on that team it seems like.

Sweet T: So, uh, then, then you got the, the guys that are on the Ascension that are gonna be coming up.

King: Well we still didn't even get the 10 to plug in fields and. and Jacksonville.

King: Well, it was the rest of his team. He had Derrick Henry, he had, that was his keeper. I forget who he had. He had a pretty good team, you know, and then you just have guys that pan out. He got, that's a little bit of luck too. It's not like me, like in every league I had this year, fucking, all my top guys got hurt fucking. Like, how does that happen? Top receiver, top running back in Almost every league went down, huh? Huh?

Sweet T: Yeah, so then you plug in Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence. Now, out of the two, who do you think is going to be kind of. I mean, these guys are drafted in, you know, Trevor Lawrence, number one, overall draft pick. Do you think he's going to have a better season next year than Justin Fields, PPR wise? PPR wise,

King: Okay, but then it did. It did okay. No, no, because Trevor Lawrence can throw the ball much better and you can see that ascension from him already, only because he has the weapons and he's fucking getting the actual game time reps of throwing the ball. Justin feels today fucking went like what? 14 for 21 or something?

14 for 24. Some bullshit like that. Like barely 50. and he's not getting any yardage cuz he doesn't have any weapons. You know Jacksonville guy, Trevor Lawrence, he's already thrown for 300 yards, three touchdowns. He's slinging the ball over the place, making fucking dime throws. He's just not a, a runner like Justin Fields and he doesn't have that kind of threat. So it's, it's almost a Lamar Jackson thing. You know? Are you gonna live in die with Lamar? Are you gonna live in die with Justin Fields? Cuz he really isn't gonna throw the ball. He'll throw the short ones for. but he is not gonna be thrown for three or 400 yards a game. At least not until they get him other weapons.

They can do that. I think they wanna be a little bit, and I know it sounds stupid, but more one-dimensional. We're coming down to run the ball and we're gonna run the ball down your fucking throat. But if we have to, we can throw a little bit where Philly's like, fuck, we'll just do whatever the fuck we can do, cuz we can do it all when Jaylen hurts us healthy.

King: But biggest surprise of the date, he, what was your biggest surprise of the.

SITM. And that performance, uh, I didn't expect it. I know you didn't expect it because last week, who did you have on your sit your ass on the bench?

King: Adams and Josh Jacobs.

Sweet T: Exactly right. And Devonte had a huge game. And stm I like. I think when we were on the phone I said it, you know, STM had a great game. He made some big time throws.

But let's face it, it's kind of easy when you're throwing to the best receiver in the league who's making unreal highlight catches three or four times in a single game. It's sick.
