Bombo's Week 4 ER to Waiver Wire

In this comically tragic episode, we unveil the latest episode of 'As the Ankle Turns' featuring Saquon Barkley's daily ankle saga, and Derek Carr's 'Shoulder of Mystery.' It's like watching a sitcom where the cast can't decide which body part to injure next!

Bombo ER to Waiver Wire

Bombo: Welcome Islanders, week three is in the books and we are going to go over the week four key injuries to your fantasy players.

We're also going to go over some guys that are widely available to take the spot for some of these guys that are hurting on your rosters. We're going to start at the quarterback position right now. We have Derek Carr, officially questionable out with a shoulder, Jimmy Garoppolo in concussion protocol.

He's questionable. Bryce Young feeling a little bit better with that ankle. He's probable to play. Anthony Richardson seems to be out of concussion protocol and he looks like he's good to go in week four.

At the running back position, you got say Quan and that bad ankle officially questionable and day to day. He has a chance to play. Aaron Jones looks probable with that hamstring injury looking like he's going on Thursday night.

Austin Eckler is still day to day and he's questionable with an ankle injury. David Montgomery is questionable with his thigh injury. He's looking like he might go

at the wide receiver position. The big one from week three, Mike Williams done for the year with a torn ACL. Jalen Waddle looks to be probable coming out of concussion protocol. Brandon Ayuk is questionable with that shoulder injury. Odell Beckham is questionable with an ankle injury, and it looks like Christian Watson will be back on Thursday for the Packers dealing with a hamstring injury, he's probable.

Also keep an eye on Cooper cup. He's due to come off the injured reserve pretty soon. So you might want to keep an eye on injury reports involving him.

We talk about it on the show all the time, guys. One of the two guys, if not both guys for the Chargers are going to get hurt. Mike Williams, Keenan Allen. This time it was Mike Williams. Funny thing about Mike Williams, it's never the same injury. It's always a new injury, whether it be upper body, lower body, soft tissue.

You know, we hope that he's out there back on the field soon. Comes back from the ACL. It's not career threatening. But the reality is, we just can't rely on him to stay healthy for the full season. So my waiver wire pickups are going to be coming right out of the Los Angeles chargers locker room.

And it all depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for high value upside that can help you potentially in the long run. Go ahead and get Quentin Johnston. He right now, he's 47 percent owned in ESPN leagues. I think that he has a high ceiling and the upside is there.

There's a reason why they made this guy a first round pick. He's supposed to come in and be the speedster, the 50 50 ball, the downfield threat. Mike Williams usually is reserved for that role. But with no Mike Williams, they gotta go somewhere. According to the depth chart, that's gonna go too. Josh Palmer, who is another guy you should be picking up off the Raver wire, who is at one and a half percent rostered.

I expect that to shoot up because he is the defacto number three wide receiver sliding into the number two slot based on depth chart. I think Palmer is gonna get hit with targets and be a crucial part of that passing offense immediately, but the original plan was to get Q involved in the offense slowly.

They no longer have the luxury of doing that. So, I think when it comes down to overall talent, it's going to shine. It's going to come through. And Quentin Johnson is more talented than Josh Palmer. Josh Palmer is the pickup. If you need somebody right now, Quentin Johnson is more of a stash. Wait and see.

But as we've seen with Amin Rah, St. Brown. Justin Jefferson. These guys shine in their rookie years after they've learned the offense and learned exactly what their role is.

Also developing that rapport with the quarterback, Josh Palmer, Quentin Johnson, pick them up off the waiver wire.
